for a very enjoyable morning and a very good lunch.

I just got home after spending some time with Shipwright, gr8mesquite and Farly. It was a very informative few hours with some great guys. I do wish we could find someone to add to this group though that is older than I am.

I also enjoyed myself and hope to do it again. I like being the youngest at 60!

Dusty Who could be older than you? I have it on good report that you were here telling God where to put the rocks.
I figure that makes you three days older than dirt. :D

I'm also told some angry farmers are looking for you, something about all the rocks in their fields.

Wish I could have made it, Dusty.
I think I'm older than you. Dunno, tho. I was sick a couple years.

I wish you could have been there too. However, on the bright side - now we must do that again sometime when you can be there.

No, you are not older than I am; not if your profile is accurate.:(

Wow, Dusty. You are correct. You don't show your age!
I'll be 73 next April. I DO show mine.

With Kevin and our grandkids now firmly ensconced in the "Old Pueblo", we'll be making more trips down the mountain. Christmas will be the next time, but that's a busy time for everyone. Kevin had a garage/workshop built and he's wiring and finishing the inside. So, we'll be helping I'm sure. I'll let you all know when and maybe we can meet up sometime. I'd like you to meet Kevin.

I could have dropped by but the drive would have been a bit much. :)

Some of my antique tractor friends have gotten together for years and it is always great. I have fallen a bit to the side the last few years but I want to get back at it now.

Funny how it works though. Somehow the guys I click with are too often half way across the country and travel is a lot more costly than it used to be and I tend to have less cash available as well.

Diana and I have a cluster of friends over in Ohio which is only one state away but still it cost enough to sometimes make you think twice. We need to get back to something that gets at least about 25 to 26 MPG like our old Astro-van did. Our current daily driver only gets about 16 MPG (extended cab 4X4 Z-71). The old motorhome just gets scary at the gas pump...

Those Ohio friends were about all nearish to Dayton and so a stop at the old SS company store was usually in order. I "REALLY" miss that company store at the factory... :(

Wow...where does 4 1/2 hours go. Time flies, etc., etc.
The 4 of us had a totally enjoyable get together, with Shipwright's drum sander, and his Chevalet de Marqueterie (look it up), being the stars of the show. Amazing talent and dedication to detail.

Man...did I learn stuff from these guys.

Thanks

Jerome

I think it could be said that a good time was had by all. It's always good to put a face to some of the names that we think of as friends online. I've met several SS forum members and Lumberjocks as well and haven't run into one yet that I wouldn't enjoy spending more time with. Thanks for coming by and putting up with my show and tells dusty, farley and gr8mesquite. We'll have to get together again soon.
