I have no experience with motors. Please listen to the entire video (after i shut the motor off). Also, is it worth replacing the wires that disappear into the motor housing? I don't want to replace every wire but those ones while i have this thing torn apart. I am not sure if the motor is something that should be disassembled. Thanks!

New bearings would be in order for sure. Other than that it sounds good. I have a 1-1/8 hp Emerson with new bearings left over from my PowerPro upgrade. It came from a 1997 Mark V and I replaced the bearings before I upgraded to PP. PM if you're interested in upgrading your Greenie.

I agree about the bearings.

Here is my motor guide: https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=12664

The internals of the GE and the AO Smith motors (both 3/4 and 1&1/8 HP) are basically the same.
