Bandsaw on each end

I'm about to start on my latest project, to make Bandsaw Jewelry Boxes, which will require that I use two different blade sizes, one to cut the initial wood blanks and the smaller one to do the detail work. My question is can you mount another bandsaw on the other end and drive it off the spindle using the Power Pro in reverse? If so, then I won't have to be changing the blades all the time when I go into production if I was to acquire a second bandsaw. What say you.

The bandsaw works on either end with the powerpro.

Thanks Ed, you saved me from having to go out and move my wife's car out of the shop and pull all my stuff out to check for myself
Now if a good deal would just pop up in the area for a bandsaw.

you still have to move the headstock back and forth on the way tubes. But it is possible to mount both.

Seems 2centsworth and I both were attempting to make a deal on CL for a 500 with Bandsaw. I offered $150 just for the bandsaw and he offered $200 for the whole shooting match. So now 2centsworth owns another greenie and I own a second bandsaw after we split the deal 50/50. We both were winners
My 520 will now be supporting 2 bandsaws, one on each end, one with a 1/2" blade and the other with a 3/16 blade. Time to start making Jewelry Boxes

Well I own up to 6 no telling how many Fred owns ??? He is sneakier then I am.

Fred can't you use a mini setup and have both running at the same time ? Ok not sure I thought it thru but sounded good.

This thread did bring up something that has been on the back of my mind for awhile.
It would be very handy to have two band saws up and running when doing boxes, but not all of us have the privilege/luxury/wherewithall to have a PowerPro. Nor do we see a stand-alone power station or enough extra SS to build a mini (they don't go cheap here).
Has anyone worked out a way to mount two band saws to one Shopsmith with some kind of reversing gear/pulley set-up for the one turning off the front end of the headstock? Or should I look at home-building my own stand-alone?
