Thought I would share a few pictures of bowls I've turned on my Shopsmith. I turn about 100 bowls a year. I've been turning for about 6 years now and love every minute of it !! I started selling them a few years ago after I ran out of places to put them !! I must admit I have an addiction to bowl turning

Ah, a fellow Texan. I like your first bowl with the rounded over edge. I just got into bowl turning this past year and have lots to learn.

Absolutely stunning. Let's see Nacogdoches is how far from the Woodlands ? 2 hours maybe 2 1/2. I am up for a lesson and would love to come see your shop and see how you accomplish such beautiful bowls. How did you learn all of this ? Did you teach yourself ? You guys make it look so easy and such wonderful handy work. Welcome to the forum and please post more pictures. Hopefully we can meet soon. What kind of shopsmith equipment do you own and work on ? Simply WOW

Hello fellow Texan !! Thanks for the comment !! The bowl you commented on is segmented Zebrawood. It is made from 10 pieces of wood. Zebrawood is beautiful but expensive wood.

Yes 2 to 2/12 hours away !! Thanks for the nice comments. You are welcome to come up anytime. I sure don't have the biggest or best looking shop, It's 12x16 and that's about 12x16 too small!! At least it doesn't leak�� I learned basic wood turning from my father-in-law before he died about 9 years ago. After his death I inherited all his woodworking tools. I'm the proud owner of a 1963 model Shopsmith my father-in-law had purchased brand new. He was a master woodworker and I consider it a honor to have his tools and to have learned from him. Over the years I have greatly improved my skills in wood turning. Lots of u tube videos and trial and error. My newest area in wood turning is harvesting logs, drying them out and finally turning them. It's addictive !!
