Sliding T-nut

Post by benush26 »

I took a few minutes to make a quick Sketchup of the Sliding T-nut

The dimensions are approximate. I used the digital calipers accepting the readings to the thousandths. When I used the dimensioning tool, it converted to the neatest 64th.

Yes, I know that there are just holes in it (1/4-20 and3/8-16). I am not nearly skilled enough to know how to make spirals which look like threads. You will have to use your imagination. I also apologize that the numbers are so small, but when I reduced the drawing to fit it also squished the characters.

These really are very good pieces to have if you have the 510, 520, M7 table and fence and /or the newer aluminum bandsaw table

Be well,
Ben

I think I would change a few dimensions to be to the nearest '32nd'.;)

I find when doing any metal or plastic machining, I have to convert to decimal inches with a +- tolerance.

I have already annotated a printed copy!;)

I just think dimension to 64th are only needed for unique situations.

i.e. 1 57/64 can just as well be 1 7/8, 9/64 will work at 1/8, 1 33/64 can be 1 1/2.
