Bandsaw resaw capacity

Is there a riser block or any option that can increase the resawing capacity of the bandsaw? According to the website, it is an 11" unit with a resaw capacity of 6".

Sorry. No riser blocks. There are some things that will increase the capacity by maybe 3/4". But, I'll bet that's not what you're looking for.

The resaw capacity on one of my band saws is not even 6". It is very close to that but not 6".
I found that out by preparing a bunch of alder that I wanted to resaw. I ripped and jointed everything to 6" only to discover that there was not that much clearance.

I have not had occasion to resaw on my SS bandsaw yet but I can share some reading I have done.
The Shopsmith Bandsaw Review on Song of the Great Lakes compares the resaw capability of the SS bandsaw very favourably against several 14" competitors.
Drew Achtermann shows how to increase the SS bandsaw throat capacity to just over 6 1/2" in this Shopsmith Hands Online! video.
And forum member guitarnut modified his SS bandsaw even more to achieve a 6 3/4" resaw capacity for his Texas Telecaster project. (scroll about half way down the page for the bandsaw mod)
And if you occasionally to resaw wider boards you could always go old school.

Both of the saws I have the same limit height wise, about 6". I have often pictured having more capacity, say 8 or 10" for some projects. OK I could try and stuff another bandsaw in the shop, not at all practical for me or I keep going using the method I currently use.
Say I want a work piece with a dimension of 8", two inches beyond what I can cut. What I can do is use a piece that is say 4-1/2 tall and do the cut with the bandsaw right down the middle of the shorter piece. Then I open the two cut pieces and I have something about 9" tall.... if you joint the piece and fold it so the grain is in a bookmark situation it will most likely look pretty good.
Need a panel 16" tall, now you have gone beyond most risers capacity but you still use smaller panels and make your glue ups. Sometimes you just have to do what is practical and deal with them in creative ways.
I hope this helps picture why we can live with a cut that limited to 6". Yes you might need to have more pieces to make the panel but that is what woodworking is about.
