Serial Numbers and Born on Date

I see people's signatures listing birth dates including months. I didn't see that on the ShopSmith user site, how can I figure this out for my '55-'56 greenie? Serial # 305904.

What you might be seeing is the original owner, so they know WHEN they purchased it.
