Anyone else out there lucky enough to heat with propane? Just got my tank filled and the fuel company wasn't even kind enough to throw me a kiss with the %#$@ing I just got on the pricing. 9 years ago I moved in and it was 1.61 a gallon if I remember right. Today the rate on the delivery ticket was 5.30. That's a 2.10/gal jump from the last fill. I'm calling tomorrow to verify as I won't get my official invoice till next week. I'm remodeling now so next year we'll have a pellet stove but DAMM!!

Then watch the price of pellets go up!:D

Just received the bill for the Jan fill 315 gal. @ $1.84. and I thought that was outrageous.

My brother lives in northern WI, the last he wrote about the situation there:

"We got propane 100 gals , and that is all they would give us because of the shortage, $550.00, for a while it was $6.29 a gal."

So now how does that sound?

Sounds like a roughing lathe chisel.

I was going to sit a tank for my farm shop so I could work in there the next few months...
I quickly put that on hold for a while.
I'll wait to set a tank until this late spring when they "find" all of that LP that they "forgot" was stored all over the place on rail sidings etc.
During that old gasoline shortage way back in 1973 - 1974 I was on the road calling on stores and I watched them filling the underground tanks in about every closed filling station around the state. They didn't "find" it until the price peaked.

I'll just go back to wood for that shop for now and not heat it any except when I am working there.

If this were normal times the interest Banks would be paying would be near 10% but since the government is giving them money they don't want ours as reflected in the interest they pay. But borrow theirs and they got you by the short hair.

Propane It's a waste Byproduct people!

Propane is a waste byproduct of Gas production. At one time most of it was simply burned off. Then they developed some uses for it such as plastic production and things. However it is still a waste product that they get more of than they know what to with. I will bet the major portion of the price is taxes and pocket lining.

BTW, you don't hear any of the bankers speaking out against the status quo.

It's not just regulation, its also the elimination of competition. Coal can't compete because it "hurts" the air, hydro can compete because it "hurts" the fish, wood burning can't compete because it "hurts" someone elses air, yadda, yadda, yadda. And the reason none of them can compete is because the politicians alway go too far on trying to make everybodys "hurts" go away.

Nope! They are getting filthy rich.

Most are buying up real estate like there is no tomorrow. They apparently know stock isn't worth the paper it is printed on. Oh wait they don't print stock anymore now it is all electronic shares. Okay so it isn't worth the electronic shares they say they are holding for people. Snicker snicker.

Ever wonder what would happen if the electronic share disappeared?

They know gold is only good to people that want it but land, land can be used to live on, build a business on or even grow food on. Imagine that banks growing food. That should send shivers down your spine.

And guess who is paying for this? WE ARE!

We deserve what we get, after falling for that one.
