I want to post a picture on a thread. I can't find a decent free app that will resize to 800x600. Can anyone suggest an app. that you use? I have an iPhone 4S

The easy way is to simply email the photo to yourself. The mail program will ask what size to send. Choose small. Check your mail and save the photo to your phone. Resized!

I can't help you with the iPhone as every time I've tried to use one it's been an exercise in frustration. I could tell you how to resize pics on an Android, but that doesn't help you. So I'll offer this option which should work across platforms.

What I typically do is use the Photobucket app. From the app, you can upload photos to your Photobucket account (and keep them organized within folders, make folders private or public, etc. Then, when looking at my uploaded pictures in the app, I click the "Share" icon. I'm then given a choice of options of other apps and services to share the picture to. I choose "Copy Link to Clipboard." Then I'm given a choice of link types that are appropriate for various purposes. For a forum such as this, I would choose the "IMG" option. That copies the link to the clipboard then I can come to the forum and paste that link into a post.
