I end up working in the out doors for a lot of the time and finding a place to hang the power cords for tools isn't so easy. I've messed with various ways but right now I have a good size list of project for the season and don't need to add any more. Finding this in the catalog and filling a need I had moved this up to purchase time.
The secondary at least for me was the hose holder. I'll have to see how well that works when I'm working with it. I might want to add some sort of a dust port by the table top and then brush the chips into the port, that could be useful in some situations. Might be nice having a junction point off the ground so when I need to change from one hose to another I don't have to bend down... yea that could be nice.
Looking at the pictures it looked a little slight built. The good news it has a nice heft to it and seems plenty sturdy. The cord height is adjustable, the hose height is adjustable and it will clamp to a pretty good range of table/workbench tops. I have for the time being attached it to a workbench with an inch thick top and I'm liking it.
Sure you could make one, but, right now I want to get things ready so I can get going on real projects as soon as I can weather permitting. If I do end up having spare time I think I can still find a lot of things to do rather then spending time on a build of one of these.
Preliminary rating 9 out of 10. Biggest issue is $23.99 is still pretty high once you have to add the shipping (this and another item shipped for $8.99).
Keep your eyes out for this item appearing in pictures this summer. And yes if I find out more plus or minus points I will let you know.
