Shopsmith Demo in Houston Today

This is the group that formed at 10:00 this morning at the Lowes in North Houston. The fellow and his wife on the right said they were going to buy one. Another couple, who left before I took the photo, also expressed an interest in buying one. David did a great job and attracted at least 10 people in the hour we were there. I hope my enthusiasm about the Power Pro rubbed off on some of the folks in attendance.

I really wasn't sure what to expect. Having read several mixed reviews here on the forum I thought what the heck I'll give it a shot and go. It was excellent. David covered all 7 aspects of the new shopsmith Mark VII. The price is above my price range right now but if I was starting over today I would buy one for sure. The double tilt was more then I was imagining. That I would love to have now. I see how that could open up a great deal of new avenues for me. It was a great outing and fun to go with the group. Thanks Fred for the picture I thought you took a couple more ??? :D

OK, you guys need to introduce yourselves. I'm going to assume the guy leaning over the M7 is Dave, the demonstrator.

Fred is taking the picture we have no idea who the guy with the beard is. He has had his shopsmith for over 30 years so he said. He traded his razor for it. Ok just kidding. Seriously I am the one in the dark blue shirt then Gary Barnes from the Lonestar Wood a Turners Association, the guy with the beard who we don't know, then Marshall Perry also from the Lonestar Wood Turners Association and Fred is taking the picture. :)
