Another use for the DC3300

Last Saturday we had a birthday party for 3 of our friends that all have birthdays in February. My wife asked me to inflate a 6ft birthday cake she purchased at a garage sale.
No problem at least that is what I thought. After looking for about what seamed forever I found a piece of something that would work as an adapter for the small fill hole on this 6 ft cake. Taped the jerryrigged adapter to the fill hole. Fired up the compressor and proceeded to pump up the inflatable cake.
After the party I pulled the fill hole plug. I figured that it would be deflated by the next morning. Not so the darn thing has some kind of one way fill valve. Air can go in but not out. This meant another trip to youneverknow drawer and another search for something that would hold valve open and also let the air out. Found it inserted it and waited. By Sunday afternoon the thing was still not deflated. By this time SWMBO started to get nervis. I was not deflating the cake fast as she would like. Now what! I knew that if I hooked the shop vac up there would not be enough air flow to keep the motor cool.
Then the light lit why not use the SS DC3300. Hooked it up the vacuum kept the hose connected. Sucked all the air out. Even folded it to fit in the original box. SWMBO was pleased. Everything is good.
