I cannot tighten the table tilt lock on my bandsaw. The 3/8" Table Clamp Bolt starts rotating before the tilt lock tightens. Upon taking everything apart, I see two split bushings that are pressed into the housing, which the table clamp bolts go through. Both bolts have small "wings" under the head, which fit into notches in the split bushings. I assume the "wings" are to keep the bolt from turning. When looking at the exploded view and the parts list, I do not see any part number for the split bushings. My split bushing is turning when I try to tighten the tilt lock. I have noted the position of the notches and I know it is rotating. Have any of you had this problem? If so, what is the solution?

Yes, do a search as reible has recommended, and try adding the word "trunnion" with "bandsaw." I can't recall what owners of metal-trunnion bandsaws had encountered. Someone with a plastic-trunnioned bandsaw did encounter a broken part.

What vintage bandsaw do you have? I don't see any split bushings in my manual.

Regardless, if it's just a matter of a press-fit sleeve working loose, and especially if it does not need to be removable, then this stuff should do the trick. I'd guess that ordinary CA glue could also hold it.

Can you remove the sleeve to clean and prep for an adhesive?

My bandsaw was built in 1985 and has a cast iron table. I will do a search to see if this has been discussed before.

It looks like this thread discusses your problem. It has good photos of the split bushing and the "winged" bolt head.

I did have a broken trunnion that I had to replace but my symptoms were entirely different. Surprisingly, the trunnion has plastic parts.

Maybe not as different as I thought. Here is the thread that discusses it.

Glad you guys were able to dig out that information.

Dusty have you looked at those plastic parts again to see if they are still intact? My saw is too old for that change but I was wonder how this set up holds up.

I have not but I will when I am in the shop tomorrow. When this happened, I expected that it would again happen but to the other band saw. They are both about the same age. I bought an extra pair of the plastic parts just in case.
