I don't consider myself an expert on Shopsmith's history but I've done a fair amount of research about a few of the no longer available tools like the Joint Matic, SawsmithRAS and I forget what they call that upside down RAS unit.

But until about a week ago, I never heard of the Workbench Pro that Anke made for them. I understand they are a pretty rare item but were suppose to be a pretty high quality item and if you find one, you better buy it quick. Well, in 1 weeks time frame, from never hearing of one, I find not only 2 of them but 2 of them that are in near showroom condition.

Well, here's a couple pics of the one that followed me home today. Needless to say I'm on cloud 900 right now. This unit was used on the set of American Woodshop with Scott Phillips back when SS was a sponsor of the show. Next owner put it in storage from the shows ending until about 4 years ago when it was sold to the person I just bought it from and he really didn't use it much.

Never heard of it before either. Sure is nice and to have a little history on is nice too. How much does it weigh? What is the space opposite side of the vise.
