Jointer Blades

I have three of the early 4E jointers. Two of them are are rebuildable but the other looks like it fell out of the back of a truck and laid in the ditch for 40 years. I've taken the two good ones apart and have a question to blade size.

One them has blades that measure 11/16" wide. The others measure 5/8" wide. But the 5/8" wide look like they have never been sharpened. It's my understanding that all the jointers are basicly the same. So what's the correct width blades?

Thanks, Tom

As long as they are 4" wide, I would use them. Shopsmith has listed .688" as the minimum height to reuse the blades. I do not go below .750" in height when sharpening the joiner blades. I find I can get 6 to 8 sharping's per blade before discarding them.
