We had one of those when I was a kid on the ranch. It was huge, big enough to do two or three chickens at a time. Scalding pot just behind you, then turn and pluck. A cloud of feathers!
We called it the the "Rubber Fingered Chicken Plucker".
I wish the video would have shown it work. It is quite a sight ....

I've seen them made from a washing machine, but since I already have a Shopsmith, I figure what the heck. Why not?

That looks like a big waste of time. My mom could do it faster by hand and probably a lot better, and less mess. I would have laughed if the dog had grabbed the chicken and took off there at the end.
