I post something which requires a preface, an explanation, then a presentation and perhaps several recommendations and requests for input from all of you as well as pictures to support something-or-other whatever it is. Psychologist. God must have been a one. Not! God was an engineer. He didn't request input, respond to supporting pictures nor take recommendations.

Damn it! I've wasted my life. I could have been an engineer. Except I hated math. But so did Michelangelo. Da Vinci loved math but Michelangelo did not. Caught between the two.

So God must be an artist?

As an engineer myself, I can tell you that most engineers excel at precisely communicating technical issues (the left brain). And also that a large percentage of them totally suck at communicating emotional and human-interest matters (the right brain). If you don't believe me, just ask my wife.

JPG's brain seems to function highly in both hemispheres!

Regarding God, I think that he is a physicist. Everything provable in the world seems to obey the laws of physics, as best we understand them. So until proven otherwise, I shall believe that is his method, and therefore is my best glimpse into the "mind of God".

High praise indeed! Not sure it is deserved, but I do 'try'.

We mere mortals do not have a clue as to the 'mind' of God.

As for 'understanding' the laws of physics, we just think we do. As we gain greater understanding, many previous 'laws' are disproved.


By the way, who you inferring is high(on something)?:D

Very interesting inquiry!

The wildcats(Ky version) already beat the cardinals once early this season prior to gelling as a 'team'. That gelling has taken an overly extended period of time. Methinks that was a result of the 'youngsters' not feeling the 'need' early on(a result of less experienced minds).

So the outcome of tonight's game is to me a tossup. I respect Pitino greatly and Calipari is to me still unproven here.

I just wish a former understudy here(asst, coach) was here rather than in Gainesville.

As for the players, a lot depends upon whether the Wildcats can continue to muster the team effort and not fall back on 'star player mentality'.

Of further interest to me is the fact that I twice lived in WI and am a UW 'alumni' although I did not graduate from there. It was there that I demonstrated the folly of youth that I am concerned about with these damp eared KY players.


Go Wildcats! Both yours(and Dusty's and Skou and . . . . .)!

I spent most of my adult career(s) explaining in broad strokes as well as finite details to people of all capabilities and mentalities. My conclusions for massive amounts of explanations were
1. Leave little or no chance that you have left out a detail. That detail will destroy the final product. And when people spends millions of dollars for their product they don't tend to smile when it fails!
2. Those who know the subject will learn how you want the project completed.
3. Those who do not know the subject learn without the stigma of feeling foolish by asking multitudes of questions.
4. Those who believe they know the subject and don't wish to listen are reminded where the highway is located (as in my way or ....) and that there is only one leader for this particular project.
5. When (not if) I screw up and forget something, I can admit we all make mistakes, so tell me about it (mine or yours) BEFORE it bites us in the ass.
6. EVERYONE feels empowered to take responsibility.

Ergo Verbose is good!! At least that's MY justification for being LONG winded and I'm sticking to it!
