Magic you say?

Here before you is a typical utility knife with blade extended.

Not shown is me pulling up my sleeves to show you I have nothing up them.

I then cover the knife with a small green cloth.

Here is where I do "the magic" and you pretend to not see me switch knives.

Pulling the green cloth off you can see that the knife has magically flipped over.... well there goes that trick....

But wait! Can your utility do this? The blade is a pencil blade you can mark with!

I've seriously considered buying those pencil blades, however I'm still in the scribing with a blade on hardwoods or plain old pencil on 2by for marking. It appears to be the better of both worlds.
Somebody (maybe Woodperckers) has then on sale from time to time.

If they pass the "Ed" test, next time they are on sale il have to splurge.

PS. If you grab the wrong knife, how long might it take to repair the table top?

I was in the process of getting free shipping by padding out my order to Lee Valley (free shipping ends today). I have been looking at them for some time now so now I've got them to play with.

My wife was wondering about getting these mixed up too. I guess the worst case would be trying to draw on some thing and have the blade cut it... So maybe when it warms up enough I spray the tool blue or something so I KNOW that is the pencil. I can also move it from the collection of utility knives to the pencil area.

So far I like them but we will see after a couple of months.
