How to get a pix suitable for the forum?

Post by charlese »

Earlier, I tried to post a photo of my first pens. The photo was snapped with my iphone. I can transfer the photo to my lap top with windows 8. From here in the "Pictures library" (came with my lap top) I have a problem finding a free site where I can get a URL that will work with the windows 8 version of the forum.

The windows 8 version of the forum has different icons along the top of the message window. There is no paper clip and there is an icon that allows the user to insert an image, provided there is a URL. There is another icon that allows the user to "insert a link". I haven't tried this one.

Still have to take a look at photobucket or picasa. Will try these as time allows.

I just got Windows 8 and this is what I get. I just saved it to pictures and clicked on the paper clip and downloaded it. It looks the same to me as Windows 7 did.

I'm too uneducated to post what looks like a copied page, but here's a link that should give you the window I see. I'm missing the entire top line of icons you have.

Charles try the app "picasa web albums" from the apple App Store. I think I paid a tiny bit for it, but it is absolutely great with the iphone.
