I have now had time to focus on all the "stuff" that came with my 3 recent purchases. I have about 7 TS blades on 2 size arbors. Some are SS blades with the arbor designed for just them, and others are on longer arbors designed for a 5/8" arbor hole saw blade. They all have some rust on them and are soaking the threads with some penetrating oil, before I start wrenching on them are they left hand or right hand threads?

Depends upon the style/nut location.

If the nut is towards the quill, it is a left handed thread(1 1/4" arbor hole blades).

If the nut is on the outboard side, it is a right handed thread(5/8" arbor hole blades).

Visualize the blade turning normally, then visualize a wrench on the nut. The nut should 'self tighten' with normal blade rotation direction as the wrench is held steady.

Thanks JPG, what a wonderful way to remember and analyze a blade nut thread orientation. I will never forget that rule intentionally, getting old and somethings are out of my control!!!
