The motors alone are worth $195 if both are in working order.

I was looking at that last week, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to Anchorage without tripling the price.

How much does an ER weigh, anyway?

A lot!:D About 3-400# depending upon what the base is.

That was my guess, and then I would have to crate it, or strap it to a pallet, making it that much heavier.

Looks as good as mine! As my neighbor said when we carried in the ER on Saturday, "This weighs more then the goldie with the leggins off on Thursday", and only 2 tubs not 4!! It was off the platform and the left side support was off too.

That's about an 8 hour drive for me, so a bit much, especially since I already have 4 10E's (not that this would stop me from getting another ).

As a side note, the town where this machine is located (Vernonia OR) is the home town of Pihl Logging and Big Gun Logging for any fans of the Ax Men reality TV series.

You guys, you'd be surprised how well this breaks down. The 4 largest (not longest) parts are the 2 legs and the headstock and motor. Drop the motor, remove the switch, slide the headstock off. (You've got to remove the tiebar, first.) Slide off the carriage, after turning the table to drill-press position, and removing it. Loosen and pull out both way tubes. Unbolt the hinge-base. Collapse into drill-press mode. Remove caster assemblies, and then the legs.

In this condition, (especially if the bench boards need replacing) it should fit in a Mazda Miata. The way tubes will have to run from the back left to over the passenger seat, through the gap between the seats.

Since this an ER, it uses 2 different setscrews, instead of the single size the Mark-X uses. (Wish I remembered the sizes, but they bracket the Mk size.)

That's what I paid for one in 1984 in not quite that condition. Refurbished it and sold it in '87 when I moved and made about $200. That is a buy for someone. I hope someone who doesn't have much money but who wants a machine that will do some good work and save him bucks as well at teach him some skills gets this - not a collector who will just sit, grin, brag and tell everyone what a great deal he got on something that isn't used.

Anybody nearby, contact one of the local votech centers and let them know an tell students.
