Got a link to a Pop Wood page that has some good tips for finishing. The download is worthwhile too. It's a collection of Bob Flexner articles...about 25 pages worth.

Excellent read!

I have an electronic subscription to Popular Woodworking that I really like. They send you an email when the new issue is released that links to a pdf file. No DRM, and I can read it with anything I want no no special operating system required or some weird reader. Its mine I have it. This is very unlike many other electronic subscriptions where I have to log into a web site and use proprietary software to read the magazine and if my subscription lapses I loose all access to the magazines.

Highly recommended.

Yep, me too, also. Got it when they first started offering the PDF subscription.

IMO Bob Flexner is the god of finishing, I have a couple of his books and they are my bibles.
