Entertainment center

[ATTACH]25047[/ATTACH]Just finished this project with my Shopsmith. It's an original design, custom made to order. First time I ever got paid for doing what I really like to do. The owner wanted to finish it himself. The drawers are all dovetailed, front and back, the wood is oak, and all the moldings are hand made oak as well. Been away from the shop for awhile working on the house.

Does it dis-assemble for transport?

I think that is a
passive entertainment center.

Got it. Passive as in past tense. I hate that - well once did but it is becoming passive and will in some years pass away. Although Abraham was 90 years old so I may have something to look forward to. Or not. Think about a teen-age son when you are 103. I don't think I want to deal with that.

Passive as in non-active. Past history irrelevant!:D
I was not too keen on teen age son at 30+. Amazing how much smarter he has become during the past quarter century!:rolleyes:

Thanks for showing us that entertainment center, rcf!:) Hope the "Passive discussions" don't dissuade you for showing us more of your work.. That is a real good - excellent piece of work, rcf!!!!.
I especially love the fit of all the drawers. I wish I could see the selected drawer pulls and hinges, but that's the customer's choice to go with the finish.
No disassemble.....

The cabinet can be split into 3 pieces, (not easily, not recommended) but when he picked it up it fit onto my homemade trailer that I use for my motorcycle, so off it went in one piece. It is massive, 82 inches long. You have to have a big room for that. He promised to send me pictures when it's finished. I too, wonder what he chose for pulls and color. If he sends the pictures I'll post them. Thanks for all the kind remarks.
