Just cant bring myself to spend over $1500 bucks for an upgrade kit to take my 510 Headstock up to Powerpro. Do these ever come up on eBay or Craigslist. What kind of deals have you all seen with this newer headstock?

If anyone is planning to buy or have brought the Do-It-Yourself PowerPro Upgrade Kit (556177), you should check out Ebay item #261509788023 which is a "C" headstock with all the needed parts to completely assembly a headstock. I have not seen any used PowerPro headstock listed for sale at this time in the southeast USA.

I think you will have to wait a few years until a PowerPro headstock goes up for sale on any of the used sites for less than $1500. Most of them are still covered by Shopsmith's warranty. It would reasonably be when one of the old guys like me who own a PowerPro, kick the bucket and the survivor wants to get rid of the whole collection of woodworking stuff. I'm 80, but plan to wait about 10 years at least before giving up - plus, my family wants mine. Even if they sell, it won't be less than $1500.
