I have the DVDs and I think they are worth the money.

I have a portable DVD player. So, when I am tearing into the headstock, to do maintenance, it is handy to view the procedure before doing the maintenance. Also, if I am questioning what I am doing, I can replay the procedure.

The DVDs provide me faster access to the Sawdust sessions than my internet access.

I would hope that they are a better resolution than the Youtubes... Those look like old VHS tapes that are degrading! Still, they're up there free of charge...:)

The 'Youtubes' were originally produced at low res so they would 'download' over slow internet connections.
