Mark V VII Stand

Has anyone built a stand that gives the 500 the lower tilt to the left for shaper/router table height yet keeps the standard V tilt to the right for drill press/ pin router height ? Can you just put the 500 on a VII stand/base ? Any links to something like this ?

A tilt left capability can be created by altering altering a pair of hinge ends similar to the mark 7, however that is not the complete need. The table also needs to be reversed so it tilts left. That places the gear teeth on the side away from the pinion gear so it will not raise/lower.
Then there is also the need to reverse the headstock and the direction the motor runs.
A bit of a pita to set up.]permanent [/U]setup for under table routing/shaping using Mark 5 parts and a modified motor. Got the parts, just need the time and a 'current' need and fewer 'other' things to do.

Drill press, router and table saw all rotate the same direction. If the whole shebang tilted left and low like the VII wouldn't it work as an undertable ? Then the right tilt high like standard for overtable ?

Right tilt M5/V does not go 90°.
A VII table does go +- 90.
I'se a bit confused here. Are we considering using Mark 5/V or Mark VII parts.
If both, what combination? Your SS quote is accurate re M5/V headstock on a MVII base.
The under table shaping is the main reason for the MVII being reversable.

I'm confused on why reversing the motor would be needed. A shaper spins the same direction as an upside down drill press right ?

I'm confused, too.
With the bit spinning the same direction, as seen from the motor, (which it would, no matter which way the motor is facing) it should work the same.
When you mount a router to a router table, you don't have to switch rotation direction, do you? No.
Yes, with a shaper, you can mount the bit to work running backwards, but you don't have to.
I can see where running a motor in reverse is HANDY, but not absolutely required.
Or, am I not seeing something?

A shaper head can be removed from the arbor, and flipped over. Then, you could run it backwards, and it'll cut.
But, why?

I get the idea this hasn't been discussed ? Surely someone has done this. What I'm thinking is a base something like this, but the cabinet goes fully to the end on the drill press side. This way it's good on height on both ends. Low on the left for under table and tall on the right for over table.

I may be missing sumpin here but thinking of a conventional router table set up with the router under the table the cutting edge of the bit will be moving from the operator's left to the right which means that the stock must be fed from the right to the left so that the stock is moving into the cutter. By moving the router to the over table position the cutting edge will be moving from the operator's right to the left (normal drill bit rotation) which means that the stock must be fed from the left to the right so the material is still moving into the cutter.
Feeding in the wrong diection will cause a catch and the stock may be ripped from the operator's hand and thrown across the shop. This can cause injury to the operator as well as others.
Look at the headstock. If you check the rotation by looking at the saw blade end the quill is rotating counterclockwise, then look at the SPT end and the shaft is rotating clockwise. It is an apparent directional change caused by viewing the shaft from 180deg away. The shaft of course turns in the same direction.
As I said earlier I may be missing sumpin.
