A really neat "redneck" solution. But I'd at least paint the adapter plate to match the machine.

Sure; but, somehow, it just doesn’t strike me as a wholly practical location for them.
I thought it might only be a knee-jerk replacement for a missing plate that the owner thought looked sufficiently mechanical to not be visually disturbing.
If it is live I wonder how it’s hooked up inside.

Well, the upside, for me anyway, is that this makes me feel that I may appear a little less crazy regarding what my friends are calling
