Shopsmith Forums

We hear that a lot and it usually comes from someone who has either never had a Shopsmith or was exposed to one back in the 50s.

I have never had that concern and especially not after I built an outfeed table. I can't do without the outfeed table. I believe that everyone needs one.

This is my most common setup. In fact, now that I have the Shorty to do the drill press work, I hardly every change this.

Government handouts - too small.
Pay raise - too small.
Starting salary - too small.
New lover - too small.

Look for a post on how Bill Clinton and the continuing congress (Democrats and Republicans have continued to screw and deceive us about the CPI (Cost of Living Index) which measure what social seceurity, military, all recepients from government programs receive. Both Democrats and Republicans support this outrageous measurement because it keeps the payout low to everyone (retirees, Social Security precipitants, Veterans, etc.) Keep it low and you will be re-elected. This was enacted when Bill Clinton was elected. Now his wife wants to become president so she can perpetuate the same scam. Poor dead broke woman. Better dead than broke.

That is one thing that I am finding lacking in my Mark 7. Do you have plans for your outfeed table? I am working on an idea that will give me remote adjustment to match the main table height, but your OF table looks promising....

I watched that video before. It is similar to what Doug Reed demonstrates as well. It works, but I think there is still a better way. I am really tied up right now, and will be for a few months, but I have an idea that I want to develop. If it works, I will share ....

My outfeed table (OFT) is adjustable with the Main Table (height and tilt). You can find all sorts of detail about it and others by doing a forum search for "outfeed". Here is one. http://www.shopsmith.net/forums/showthr ... ht=outfeed

Some of them are solid, others are tubes. Fortunately, I've got posts, not tubes.
