In the latest email from Wood Magazine, they featured a sand paper cutter from Rockler for $12.99. I bought a similar one years ago from Lee Valley as one of my first purchases and found it to be one of my best purchases. I'm not sure how much I paid, but with inflation, the Rockler price is probably OK.

An old piece of board with a used up hacksaw blade screwed/nailed to it will do the same thing.

Folding, squeezing, flapping back and forth then tearing has always worked, and no 'storage' issue!;)

Hmmmm, is that for sandpaper?
Almost seems like a Freudian slip
But then again, maybe sandpaper is just sandpaper.

I use the cutting edge of my back saw - to cut the sandpaper. Works just like Tim's hacksaw.

I use an 12"x12" paper cutter I got somewhere years ago.The sandpaper seems to sharpen the cutting knife attached to the handle. You'd be surprised how handy one of these is in the shop. Just this week I cut cork gasket material for a project.

Shhh. I use the paper cutter in my wife's craft and sewing area all the time. It even works like a shear on thin aluminum and brass. Between it and the back saw, I have no problems etting this sort of task completed.

I've been using the folding then cutting with my shop scissors. Craft scissors dedicated for the shop - actually have two pair.
I've never seen the sandpaper cutter posted here, but I'll put it on a list for potential Christmas/Birthday gifts. Family is always asking what to get me.
P.S. Also Shopsmith gift certificates are good. Just cashed in the $ from five of the left over certificates. Always good to zero them out! The gals don't have a problem verifying the amounts - the guy? - a little frustration, but he can handle it with a smile:rolleyes:
