I inherited a Mark VII which came with a table saw attachment, support table, and a couple small tools. I'm looking to sell it but I have no idea it's value. The motor runs strong, there is no corrosion, and the motor slides fairly easy along the rails. I've attached a few photos and I'm looking to this forum to help me gauge a selling price. Any assistance is extremely helpful.

Not an easy answer. Depends upon if you can locate someone interested in it. And what they might be willing to pay is the answer.

These are somewhat of a stepchild since production time was limited. They have many unique out of production parts.

Two 'details' are not revealed in your pix. The condition of the speed control cam and the rack gear on the back of the front way tube. Both are nylon and notorious for not surviving.

The stop button has been replaced with an elongated rod. Reason unclear.

Time out, I need to look at the pix again.

Ok, the vac blower etc. is missing. Another thing with a poor survival rate.



I am not trying to run it down, but these are things which will decrease it's value to a buyer.


P.S. The pix do not show either the miter gauge nor the rip fence.

I'll give 50 bucks, that's a start.

Hey, I resemble that remark! You said it probably needs unobtainium parts. I'm sure they aren't cheap when they show up ? I wonder where it's at ?

This is helpful. Like I said, I have no clue and it's been sitting in my garage for a year. I didn't know if I had some secret valuable machine or if it's a giant paper weight. I had someone offer $500 but I didn't know if that was a low ball price or reasonable offer.

Take the 500!!! A very generous offer!

I would second John's comment - take the $500!! I would add 'and run!'. The Mark VII is a bit of a 'boat anchor' (in ham radio terms). They are interesting but, really, kind of just one more thing to waste time on. Then again, I have too many SS's already and not enough time.

IIWM, I would ascertain if the buyer knows what they are getting. If so, take the $ and you will not need to run.

If not tell him. Then take any offer from him.
