Looks like a drill-press to me. It's missing a motor, but those handwheels say where the "motor" is to be used.

Should be fun, but doesn't look like you can drill any 2 inch holes in steel, to me.

Where did'ja find it?

I think the crank drives the spindle and the 'hand wheel' is actually a flywheel. Does the top handwheel advance the 'quill'.

Almost got one here locally, but too many parts were missing. You've got a nice one there!

This is called a post drill. My grandfather has one in his blacksmith shop. With a sharp bit it would drill through steel easy. Even as a little boy I could easily drill holes with it. When he drilled holes there were two long curls of steel coming out of the hole not chips. I'd love to have one of these.

Having some property that is off Grid in Northern Arizona, I thought this would be awesome.

Where all "cool" things are found,Craigslist. Believe it or not, it's been there, on the Mesa Craigslist for month's.

Where abouuts off the grid? We are close to "Off the Grid" east of Snowflake off the Concho Highway.

I have the grinder version of that, all intact. Also have a hand drill of that vintage as well! Never use either, but I won't get rid of them!

Seligman......Place called Bridge Canyon Esates...Beautiful Scenery,but aways out there.
