Houston we may/do have a problem here!

Today was a rest day from Saturdays buying day, shoot buying is work!!LOL
So looked over the ER 10 coveted speed changer, the shaft that you turn is not connected to the sheaves and on the sheave that is closest to the shaft, there is an area where it looks like something is sheared off about 5/16x3/16-1/4", and on the threads of the shaft some burring of the threads just before the smooth/no threads area, B4 the springs.
YA, Ya I know pics, too lazy for them tonight!!!

JPG, I think you called it, in a previous thread/post of mine, but I did not do it!!!

Nag, Nag Nag, I dont Nag, JPG NAGS!!!! Freak, we have wild critters here in WI, risking life and limb to go out to the shop at night for these!!!

Thanks Dennis, yes looks all there, just dont understand what the crank does since it is not connected to the pulley/sheave in any way to move it in and out.

That speed changer looks good to me!

The crank moves the speed changer pulley's relative distance between the headstock and motor pulleys. The tension of the two belts adjusts the speed changer floating pulley "in and out."

Got IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! Ventured out to the shop and brought it in and looked it over, now I see how it works!!!!!!!! Good thing I "got it" B4 JPG came on line!!!:o Found the speed #s. Thanks guys!!!
