lower saw guard

Does anyone want to swap a Mark V 500 lower saw guard for a 510 guard? I just bought a 500 and my saw guard is for a 510. The guy I bought it from had two and gave the 510 to his nephew.

You may want to keep the 510 guard as it can be used to collect dust when sanding off table with the 12" sanding disc. The 500 guards are plentiful on Ebay.JohnSWA wrote:Does anyone want to swap a Mark V 500 lower saw guard for a 510 guard? I just bought a 500 and my saw guard is for a 510. When it comes to Ebay patience is often rewarded. It does not look like there is much of a selection at this moment. There is at least one current style 500 guard system listed currently though the shipping is a little pricey.JohnSWA wrote:Not a bad idea, SD! Folks are durn proud of their lower saw guards on ebay! Guess I might have to bite the bullet.
I agree with SDSSmith. I waited through several e-Bay bids until I got one within my budget. I think you will have to use a 510 sanding disk with the 510 saw guard, but it will be worth it to collect that fine dust with your dust collector or shop vac. I can be mistaken, but I think the 510 sanding disk has a longer hub. I bought both the disk and saw guard off e-Bay.SDSSmith wrote:You may want to keep the 510 guard as it can be used to collect dust when sanding off table with the 12" sanding disc.
