I built one too and also added a drawer at the bottom. It has my planer and miter saw on it. It certainly doesn't look as pretty as yours though! No fancy wood for my draw front - just a scrap piece of plywood. I made my own knobs though.

Not any fancy wood, dyed Mahogany Red then Verathane Cabernet stain on the drawer, then oil based poly, platform the same dye and stain then glazed with a H2O Poly that I added some yellow dye to. Experiments, the yellow in the poly changed if from red to a walnut brown. Need some color in the shop. Made the drawer pull and stained antique cherry.

there are 3 bibles out here, The Lords King James on religion, Bob Flexner's "Understanding Wood Finishing", and the 3rd, I think his name is Jim Jewit working on that!! I got that one wrong, nothing comes up on that search!!
