Don't know about being a bargain but, eBay seller Grandmascollection has parted out two (I think) scroll saws, SS scroll saw parts are almost never seen on eBay. I cannot remember the last time or if ever I have seen individual scroll saw parts on eBay. Now is the time if anybody needs something.

10ER currently on the 'bay, in Williston Park, NY, pickup only. Looks to have a few accessories aside from the table saw attachments- faceplate, sanding disc, General brand drill bit sharpener, grinding stone, a small vise, etc. $90 B-I-N, that won't last.

10e Pricing

Post by ratchey »

How over priced is this 10e? Was thinking about picking up something like this.

This is a pretty good deal for a 10ER with speed changer. Most of those cost more around here without the speed changer.

Well it’s not a 10-E (serial number and configuration indicate a 10-ER), in case that’s important to you. Big pluses from my perspective include the speed changer and the original accessory lamp, and to a lesser extent the jigsaw attachment. On the minus side, no factory bench ends or casters. I didn’t see an extension table in the pictures either, but a lot of other add-ons that to me don’t move the price.

I’d be looking at this more in the $200-300 range, but perhaps higher in other geographies. Good luck!

Thank you. He just listed it a couple days ago so may see if the price drops. This is such a small population area and fairly remote so I doubt there are many around here that aren't an 8 hour drive round trip.

I disagree with John. It is a Model 10E as it says. It was made in the Western Plant not to long before they became the Model 10ER. For the Western Plant that is around serial number R31000. There is debate as to when the change from 10E to 10ER occurred but except for some rare instances I go with the Logo/Serial Number Plate. Others believe the change occurred when they went from Wood Extension Tables to Metal Extension Tables. This one should have the Metal Extension Table. As for the price, for me, it is too high. I sell restored Model 10's with the Speed Changer and Jigsaw for less. But I do it as a hobby, not to make money. The rarest item I see with it is the lamp attached to the Jigsaw.

Mark V completely upgraded to Mark 7
Mark V 520
All SPT's & 2 Power Stations
Model 10ER S/N R64000 first one I restored on bench w/ metal ends & retractable casters.
Has Speed Changer, 4E Jointer, Jig Saw with lamp, a complete set of original accessories & much more.
Model 10E's S/N's 1076 & 1077 oldest ones I have restored. Mark 2 S/N 85959 restored. Others to be restored.
