Noticed several machines on Craig's List dropping in price. I think people hope to get a good price in the spring but understanding the reality by summer time. By the fall they'll go even in lower.

Here's one that just popped up from a Craig's List alert while I've been writing this post, a 500 with extras, looks like the headstock was replaced and has the old parts too, down to $300 from $350 originally. Pretty good deal for a starter machine or if you want a second one.

We need more room in our garage, sadly we must sell our overhauled Greenie.

All said & done we had slightly over $1,000 in new ShopSmith parts for the overhaul. (fully documented on the ShopSmith Maintance fourm viewtopic.php?f=10&t=23864)

The Greenie works well but we need the room it currently occupies.

Details: Working condition greenie mark 5 shopsmith. Recently had all belts and bearings replaced. New 12 ga. (20 amp) electrical cord 15 feet in length for greater access to 110v electrical outlets. All parts were dissassembled, cleaned & inspected and replaced if found damaged.

Included parts are: extension table, rip fence, tool rest arm, lathe tool rest, lathe turning tool set, 2 circular saw blades, sanding disc, Jig Saw attachment,Planer attachment and tailstock.

We are located right off Interstate 81 on the Pennsylvaina side of the PA MD border.

Asking $400 O.B.O.

This one is certainly a bargain if you need parts or have a few extras. Only $50 for the machine. Located in Maine though. Too close to the Arctic Circle for me.

$50 for what they call “ShopSmith”, and it’s a bad angle photo, but looks like it may be an Overarm Pin Router to me. In Riverside, California, which is a couple hours north of San Diego and east of Los Angeles.
