This one is an unusual jig saw and belt sander combo. Both SPTs will need some cleaning and maybe parts. I don't know what that 'power station' is. It has some Shopsmith parts including the casters, and might be Greenie colored. Is it some variety of a Power Station? Whatever it is, if the SPTs are serviceable then $75 is bargain.

I think it’s one of these from the late 1950s Magna-Line catalog.

How about that! A really good deal for $75 if you're into that kind of thing. If it was closer to me I'd go get it.

This looks like it may be a very good deal. Mk V 510 upgraded to 520, with bandsaw for $600. Carlsbad, CA, just north of San Diego.

I suppose this would be a bargain at $1500 if you want a brand new still in the shipping crate 520 machine with joiner and bandsaw: https://nh.craigslist.org/tls/d/greenla ... 83840.html

That location appears to be in New Hampshire, not the giant island in the North Atlantic.

I don't think it is a 520, unless I missed something. I'm thinking it's fairly old for 'brand new.' But these new, never used machines do seem to attract buyers.

It may not be a 520. I thought that was a 520 type rail in the upper left corner but I don't know. I'm not sure what it is worth if you don't want something brand new, but I can see some appeal of getting all the parts that originally came with a machine. And for a first Shopsmith, again if you want it brand new, I think this would be a deal. If it is not a 520 then I think it's value is somewhat less.

It shows the bandsaw serial number 11876, perhaps someone could estimate the age based on that.

The Bandsaw was made in June 1979 according to the serial number SS11876. Likely the Mark 5 and Jointer were made then too. It would have the extra slot in the original table system aka 500. It would say Mark 5 on the vent/serial number cover which is probably why it is listed as a Mark 5 for sale. Although it looks good, I would check it out carefully if I was buying it.

For a simple Model 500 you better be in love with the idea of it being new in the box to make it worthwhile. Doesn't look like a bargain at all from my point of view if it's that old. Maybe the new in the box concept is worth it to some people, I'll certainly over-spend for hard to find items that just appeal to my own desires.
