Nice! I assume that the you are referring to the adjustable stop collar when you talk about the "black piece below the dust port is a two-piece threaded item that allows me to adjust the fence in 1/64 inch increments if needed."

Nice article, Forrest!
I remember that you posted a beautiful photo of the finished product here a while back. I tried to pull it up, but kept getting invalid-link errors. Can you re-post that here for the benefit of the new guys? The photos in the article really don't do it full justice.

I found the previous post of the cabinet, but I get 'invalid attachment' when trying to open the pic.
So here are some. I think I need Dusty's help on taking pictures!
edit: yes, that is the stop collar

Forum member makes it big! Thanks for letting us know. Haven't had too many members getting out where people can see just what a shopsmith can do given the right person doing it.
This is great and congratulations.

I have seen some excellent wood working projects here. Now, if anyone has ANY pictures taken while in progress pull them out and concoct some words to go with them (especially, if SS is among them).
Send the file to Highland Woodworking "Project Ideas" or "Show Us Your Stuff" (url to find those is
http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/wood ... wn109.html ).
If "published" they give you store credit. I submitted under "Show Us Your Stuff" but they chose to use it in "Project Ideas:" It was worth $90 (spent it already on a Veritas spokeshave:) ) and I was told the "Show Us Your Stuff" was paying $50.
Show off your ShopSmith!
