I came across a yard sale where the guy was selling out his wood shop. I bought this rack for $75.00 and all his scrap wood that was on it for another 75. I had to cut it down from 10 ft high to 8 ft. I also bought a trailer load of wood that was mostly Black walnut and wormy soft maple.







Now I need to make the wife something nice before she kills me!!

Now get busy, and get that lumber on the rack!

P.S. Is that a T-bird hiding underneath that cover?

Yep, yer handle was a big fat clue!

My dad had a '71 T-bird that my brother drove for a while when we were both in college. It got about 11 mpg.. Ferrying that car home from college one night was the first and only time that I've ever run out of gas twice in the same night!

Yours is older .. I think that I can discern a vestigal fin atop the quarter panel. Almost horizontal. And the roofline looks similar to a '66 Imperial. I'll stake out '61 for my guess.

The seller had obviously been active, any discussion as to why he was quitting woodworking?

Nice stacking job! Your rack is the same size as mine, but you got a much better deal. And living in the Great Eastern Hardwood Forest, you will soon find that it is much too small! I monitor Craigslist regularly, and every few months a good-sized batch of nice rough-sawn cherry, oak, maple, or even walnut comes up at a price of around a buck a board-foot. I hate to let it get away, but my rack just ain't big enough.

But hey, when do we get to see some unclothed pics of your T-bird?

The shop he was in had been put up for sale and instead of moving he decided to get out. If I would of had some extra cash I could have bought a lot more stuff.
