I ordered it this am and status says ON BACKORDER.:(

I guess with a new product offering it is wise to get orders to see if it is worthwhile building. Woodpeckers takes advance orders with a date given for fulfillment (learned that term from Amazon).

But I like the idea especially for UTT routing and horizontal boring.:)

Interesting

Not sure if that is something I need or want.

Has anyone ever thought to them selves, I NEED a handle just like this?
It never occurred to me.

So many things I like them to work on but they decided this is what they will give me, hmm.

I was using the bandsaw the other day a day was wishing I had a little remote that would have let me at least turn the machine on and off. If I had not been setup all ready I would have gone to my other bandsaw were the switch is right in close. The job required a lot of turning the machine on and off and with the bandsaw mounted to the right side each time required me take a couple of steps.... Now a remote I'D order tonight if they had it.

Well the best I can do at this point is try and figure if I want to spend that much to have that feature.

Reading about the new quill feed handle I see it works with the Shopsmith Shop Deputy Work Center How did I miss that?

I ordered the kit just now. I am missing my right hand and have long had difficulty getting the quill feed handle set so I can plunge the quill without having to grab the handle with my left hand. May be a bit confusing but having a bunch more set positions is just the ticket for me.

Thanks Shopsmith!

I ordered the three piece set. Just the ticket for me, since I do a lot of SPT connections on the quill side of the PowerPro. In my setup the quill extends through the saw table with the insert removed. The present handle always presents an additional bit of fussing because the handle always gets blocked by the saw table.

I'm sorry but I do not see the advantage of this optional quill handle.

Is this because I do not operate my Mark Vs in the under-table mode? Is it only in that mode that the Quick Index Quill Handles' real utility becomes apparent?
