I think this is going to be one of the kids Christmas gifts this year. But I have to find some ammo that won't draw ants, and won't give the dog a sugar rush.

Oh and the ammo needs to be soft. (The DW made me add that part) :)

Nerf darts/bullets would probably work.

What about some form of pencil eraser, cut similar to marshmallows size pieces?

A cats eye marble would be just the right size :(

Ping pong balls might be the right size and soft enough, but might not travel far enough for eager young bowmen.

You know what, Nerf darts cut into marshmallow size pieces would probably do the trick.

Reminds me of the old gangster movies when they talk about rubbin a guy out.

Maybe I should keep a supply of rubber bullets handy in case a riot breaks out. :)

Sorry Fred, Bonnie (DW) says I can't play with you any more, and she wants to have a word with your mother.:(

Made this a few years back for my son. Saw one someone had posted on Lumberjocks and just copied it.

These would be fun for the grandchildren. Of course, I'd have to have one myself to, umm, practice with so that I could instruct on how to use. Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. :D

Yeah, it all sounds like fun until someone gets hit where it hurts with something that is not soft. The discussion of alternate munitions scares me.

Boys will be boys at least until they have to cover ER expenses.
