In a first for me, I just received an email from SS asking me to review the Quick Index Handle that I purchased.

Never been asked before what I thought of a SS tool. Nice:)

I also got one of those review requests Forrest!

Although I have not yet received the handle, checking the order showed that it has been shipped. Will rate it for them after I use it.

I am very pleased with the handle that may be located where I want and not where the SS feed shaft 3 position wants it. Because of the nearness of the table, at least 1 of the positions is virtually useless.:(

Over the short time that I have had the indexing handle, I now no longer have the handle between the PP On button and Confirm button and the Chart button and the Confirm button.:D I am in a table saw configuration for quite a while and that orientation is nice to have.

I got the review request also, but my part is on back-order. I could not give it much of a review! Kind of a cart-before-the-horse deal.

I would not be surprised to learn that the "request for evaluation" was sent out as an automatic reaction to an item being placed "on-order". If that is the case, it might be more appropriate to trigger that mailing by an "item shipped" declaration.

Something similar happened to me this month with Sears. We have a maintenance contract with Sears on several of our Sears appliances. They were scheduled for service this month but my wife requested that that date be changed because of her hip surgery. Yesterday we received an email from Sears requesting we comment on how the service was performed with specific yes and no questions about what was done.

Maybe the reason for asking for reviews is to gauge whether or not to make this a design improvement for future machines.

My fault on this one. I meant to send it to all who had been shipped the Quick-Index Quill Handle, but got in a hurry and ended up sending it to all who had ordered one.
