EWR$T$%^$%^T%EY

BEWARE!!!!

After installing it immediately change the home page and exit. Do not attempt anything important(like creating long posts) that involve a need to temporarily exit and come back to the 'reply' window. "Back" arrow dumps you back to that silly whoopee do default home page even though you changed the home page(only takes effect upon reloading).

Now I begin again!!!

I'm on the latest version (32.0.3) and have not experienced that behavior.

You ALWAYS have to close FireFox and reopen it for the update to take effect. After I update it, my home page opens up, also a second tab "Mozilla" opens.

My backing into this 'problem' was as follows:

Restarted after 'installation' and got that whoopee de do commercial with the VP.

I first searched for how to get to a 'normal' screen. Finally I succeeded in getting to this forum. I proceeded to 'compose' a lengthy post and then needed to 'research' something. When I attempted to 'return' to the reply screen, it instead took me back to the whooped de do screen thereby dumping the reply screen and all that verbage I agonized over to create.

Lesson learned: Went searching to change my 'home' page from whooped de do to Yahoo.

Resumed replying and again needed to 'research'. Again got dumped and sent back to whooped de do screen since I had not exited and reloaded FF with the 'new' home page.

Lesson two learned.

Yes one must be careful to attempt to 'return' correctly(close window vs back arrow).

It always worked backing into yahoo before and kept the ability to step back in(right arrow). Not from whooped de do however!!!!

It would have been nice if whooped de do had 'normal' links to mail etc. instead of all that gee whiz look what we did to ah ah for you today.

If 'they' had not arrogantly(like MS) altered my existing 'stuff' this would have never happened!!!!

End Rant and explanation.

Both of my PC's have upgraded with no problem.

This is nothing new, firefox has been doing the extra tab letting you know that you have a new version for some years now.

I simply close that tab and it is back to the first tab which is my home page.

Guess I have been lucky. Never encountered that crap before. Wish I knew what was different this time! The tab did not bother me, but the dumping of my home page did. :(
