Looking for mounting parts for jointer guard - old metal style

I'm looking for the various small parts that are used in mounting the old style aluminum guard on older jointers. I have the guard itself, the spring, the hexagonal shaft and the top knob, but nothing else. I know it is a long shot but perhaps one of you upgraded to the red plastic feather guard and still have the old parts to sell?

Or do the new equivalent parts work with the old metal guard? Shopsmith sent me copies of the old and new parts diagrams and lists to compare and I just can't tell. They look like the new parts just might work to mount an old guard.

I know I should upgrade to the new style guard but I can't afford to right now. I got the jointer off ebay - my first dissapointment after a run of buying from some absolutely great sellers. It was listed as "excellent shape," "little signs of use," very good shape" "includes dust chute." The only part of the listing that was true was the "4 inch" part! Still, it is shopsmith and will work in spite of the wear and pitting - but only if I can get the guard mounted. I opened a case with ebay and the seller did finally send the missing spring and dust chute, but didn't send the rest of the parts. I've left another message asking for the rest of the parts but replies have been really sporadic.

I went through a similar experience last year. I had some of the parts, but not all. I ordered the featherguard upgrade. It was backordered for a l-l-long time. SS split the order for me and sent the post, spring, and washers. The new top cap is a little different but will fit.

Thanks, that is great to know - the fit part, not the backorder part!
They do sell the parts individually.

Now I just have to decide whether to pay more money to keep a jointer that is in much much worse shape than described or send it back. I'm leaning toward the latter. The seller mostly ignored my emails asking for the parts until I opened a case with ebay, then shipped some of them.

I've had just the opposite experience with the rest of my shopsmith purchases off ebay. In fact, I've been impressed and, in one case, amazed at the professionalism and helpfulness of the few sellers I've delt with.

Thanks again
