Gets very hot in my shop during the summer time and when I returned this fall I found several bubbles under the plastic cover on my control panel. Have any of you experienced this with your PowerPro? Is the top plastic film on the control panel to be removed when the PowerPro is put into service? Machine works well, but the bubbles just look very untidy.

Peel off the plastic sticker!!! (I had the same issue!) it's just there to protect it until installed.

Thanks Chris, just removed it and now it is back in a tidy state until I have it covered with fresh saw dust.

Recently I had a similar issue with a piece of Gerstner nickel-plated hardware I got for a chest I was restoring. It looked too dull, but I was OK with it. Then I figured out I had to peel the plastic off!

Doesn't that protective stuff drive you nuts? Just got a different TV, HD control box. I was about to send it back as the front looked scared up. Whoops! It was that protective film:o

OK, since the subject has been brought up, I've got a question.

Leave that "protective" layer on, until it starts to go "south," or peel it off when you get the device.

I'm thinkin,' once you peel it off, it's not protecting any more, use it while you can.
