I have just put the link to this video up on the Lumberjocks forum. ( http://www.lumberjocks.com )

With the placement of my 90th post there they are learning more and more about Shopsmith. I also have twice put the link to Nick's video on designing a 3" ducting system.

I'm new here. I am on a couple of other forums but for some reason never paid attention to this one -- even though I have 2 Shopsmiths.

I hope this isn't off topic. But, wanted to mention that the resawing made me think about something. Of all the "extras" I have ever bought from Shopsmith, the Kreg bandsaw fence is the best. With the micro-adjust I can almost throw away my tape measure.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning from y'all.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm in Jax, FL (actually about 20 miles south in Ponte Vedra Beach).

I don't know how many Shopsmith folks live here but I once asked one of the Shopsmith reps how many e-mails they sent to this Zip code and she told me about 100!

I wonder if there is any chance of Shopsmith posting a map of Shopsmith sold/registered by zipcode or city. Even if they don't want to post numbers, clusters would be nice.

We don't really "register" Shopsmiths, Paul. ATF waved that one; their position is that you can own and use an unregistered Shopsmith as long as you don't carry it around concealed. If we did register Shopsmiths, I kinda think that a map of the US with 700,000 dots on it would beyond the resolution of anyone's monitor -- unless you work at NORAD. Furthermore 12,000 to 15,000 of those dots move each year (used tool market) and we have no way to track them.

With all good wishes,
