Dr. Phil, Gary Smalley and at least one weekly guest of Jim Daly on Focus on the Family will tell you that good communication between a husband and wife is essential to have a good marriage. Based on yesterday’s conversation with my wife I conclude that we have not just a good relationship but also a very good one.

I was at the kitchen counter with some epoxy cement and scissors. She came into the room, looked and said,

What is that?
Glue.
Glue?
Yes, epoxy.
What’s it for?
To fix things.
What things?
Things that are broken.
Like what?
All kinds of things.
What are you fixing that’s broken?
Scissors.
What’s wrong with them?
They’re broken.
What’s broken?
The scissors.
What’s broken with the scissors?
The handle.
How did it break?
How would I know?
Were you using them when they broke?
Yeah.
Well, if you were using them then how did they break?
I already answered that question.
No you didn’t you just asked me a question.
What question?
How would I know.
Well, you seem to think that I asked a question, so what did I ask?
I said, how would I know!
I heard what you said. I want to know what question you think I asked.
Who’s on first?

Who says men don’t know how to communicate?

My wife and I have been married 58 years and counting. I read the conversation about the epoxy, etc. to my wife. We laughed the whole time because it struck home. Thanks.

Asked by my wife of 51 years:
"Have you seen my "special" scissors?"
Me: "No"...

End of conversation... We have over 100 acres here, she will never find where they are buried... :D :D :D :D :D
