I am a first time lathe user, here.
I am thinking of purchasing a Nova G3 Chuck, and turning some bowls on my Mark V.
If I purchase the Nova G3 chuck, is it compatible to the Mark V right out of the box? Or, do I need to purchase some sort of arbor, or center in order to make it fit correctly?
Please help.
Good to go..

If you buy it from Shopsmith it will fit out of the box. And it's on Sale now.

I thinks it's a great deal as well! When I bought mine it didn't include the pin jaws.

The Nova chuck works great (I have one on my Mark V) and, yes, it does need the proper adapter (which goes between the output shaft and the native Nova chuck).
If you buy the Nova chuck from Shopsmith, the proper adapter is provided.
If you buy the Nova chuck from some one else, you will need to buy the right adapter. Some vendors will supply the right adapter if you ask but you will have to ask. Check the Nova site for more details.
Bottom line: a great chuck. You won't be sorry if you buy one.
