New toy for a new member

I've been wanting to get into some simple woodworking and get something better than my hand-held power tools. So, I watched Craigslist off & on for about 3 months and saw several old ShopSmith thingies. I started wandering around the Web and found this site & forum and decided that this would be perfect for my setting.
Figures. Now that I'm ready to buy, the only CL listings in my area are some seriously broken down machines. I swear one of them (a 1950 something model) must have been stored outside in the weather for decades. I watched for over a month, but nothing showed up that fit my criteria of being within 100 miles and not requiring a machine shop to restore it to duty.
In the end, the Fedex guy rolled his palette truck around and dropped this in my garage:

I told her I would open it up after we get back from vacation, but I couldn't hold back.

Had just enough time to put 'er together, wax 'er up, and fling a little sawdust before loading up the car for the road trip.

Of course, now I'm stalking CL for band saws, planers, jointers, etc...
When I get back, I'll make some saw horses, then start on a workbench. Or a storage cabinet. Wait. I think I'll just play it smart and make my first project a potting bench for her.
