Anyone have any info/thoughts on a Shopsmith 2000 Table Saw? What they might be worth in excellent condition? What are the drawbacks?

I purchased a sawsmith 2000 about a year ago for $140. It's the mid model with the 48 in Excalibur fence. I like the fence and it seems to stay in alignment. My main dislike is the sawblade slot it is long and wide this allows cutoff up to 7/16 to fall into the sawblade. It's my understanding there are no parts available for the Sawsmith 2000. More information can be found by a forum search using (sawsmith + 2000)

A few of us have one... I have the Ultra model with the Excalibur fence and 79" rails along with a second set of 48" rails that stay on most of the time. As mentioned, no parts available from SS, occasionally an arbor or a blade guard will come up on eBay (I bought both of each the last time they came up) . Excellent condition for me would be having the other table inserts and the arbors for the dado. I also picked up a spare motor off eBay as a precaution a couple of years ago. It's a pretty good saw once aligned properly and with a good blade (I run a WoodWorker II) but is really has more value to a SS collector like some of us are. :) I might go as high as $300 for one if it had some of the now rare accessories.
